“Kings of Pastry”

This stellar film about the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France competition is itself comparable to a fine pastry that contains all of the right elements to seduce and satisfy. In the effort to create pastry perfection on earth the viewer witnesses emotional lightness and despair, passion and exhaustion, personal commitment and sacrifice, self-doubt and satisfaction.
Of particular interest was the documentation of the judges and judging process. The in- your- face- not-possible –to- hide- anything procedures created mounting palatable unforgiving tension. The judges’ selfless compassion for the sixteen finalists was surprisingly touching.
This inspirational film will be in Los Angeles beginning Friday, October 8! You do not want to miss it!
